Object to the measurement
This site counts how its pages are read. It stores nothing on your device to do it and reads nothing from it. You can still tell it to stop, and this page is how.
Your visits are being counted, without anything being stored on your device.
This applies to this browser on this device. A different browser, or a private window, is a different visitor to a site that stores nothing, so it has to be set there too.
What the objection does
A small cookie named cin-no-stats is set. It holds one word and nothing else: no identifier, no date, no signature. Anyone who read it would learn that somebody objected, which is why it needs no protection and why setting it needs no agreement.
From the next request onward the server stops before it classifies anything. The request is counted only as an objection, in a separate table, so the operator can see how many people objected without knowing who did.
If your browser already says no
A request carrying Sec-GPC: 1 or DNT: 1 is treated as an objection without anything being set on your device. That is honoured whether or not you use the control above.
The operator uses this too
There is no separate mechanism for the operator. He objects with this control like everybody else, once per browser, which is one mechanism instead of two and one fewer lasting cookie to explain.
The measurement, its legal basis and how long anything is kept are described in the Privacy policy.
